Beware of Bill Payment ScamsAutomatic Payments
Never miss a payment with Auto Pay. When you sign up, your monthly bill will be automatically paid each month from your bank account or debit/credit card on your due date. Auto Pay will take effect the next billing cycle after signing up. To avoid late fees, please make a one time payment, if needed, to take care of your current balance. You will receive an email once payment is processed each month, and you can sign up for Auto Pay or change your payment type at any time.

Through Your Bank
To check if you can pay Optimum directly through your bank, sign-in to your bank's website and confirm they have a bill pay section. If offered, add "Optimum" as a payee and provide your 14-digit Optimum account number with no dashes or spaces. Your account number can be found on the My Profile page.

You can pay by check or money order made out to Optimum. Be sure to include your remit stub and/or 14-digit account number with no dashes or spaces. Your account number can be found on the My Profile page.
Make sure to mail your payment at least one week before the due date so your account is credited in time. If your payment is late, you may be charged a late fee. If your check is returned unpaid, a returned payment charge may apply.

You can pay in cash by visiting an authorized third-party payment center. Make sure to have your 14-digit account number on hand.
*Other unauthorized locations, such as grocery stores, may voluntarily accept Optimum payments. If you pay at an unauthorized payment location, you may be charged a handling fee and your payment could be delayed or never delivered to Optimum.

You can pay by cash, check, money order or debit/credit card at the location nearest you.
Many locations have a drop box for after hours payment. Drop box payments can take 2-3 business days to process.

If you want to make a payment with a Care Specialist, call us using the number on your bill or the support number on the Contact Us page for your area between the hours of 8:00am-8:00pm.
Protect yourself from bill payment scams
Recently, we have seen an increase in fraudulent third-party websites and fake phone numbers online claiming to be Optimum. Listed below are a few tips that may help you avoid becoming a victim of fraud:
- Do not use search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo!, etc.) to pay your bill online or find our phone number. The best way to reach us is via our website optimum.net or optimum.com or the phone number printed on your bill.
- We will never ask you to make a payment by gift card, wire transfer, cryptocurrency, payment applications (Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, PayPal, ETC.) or other nontraditional methods.
- Optimum will never send you an email asking you to click on a link to make a payment.
- Optimum will never call you stating there is an issue with your equipment and a payment is required to fix the issue.
If you are ever in-doubt that you are talking to an Optimum Care Specialist, hang up the phone and call either the number on your bill or the support number on the Contact Us page.

Late payments
Your payment is due by the date noted at the top of your bill. If you do not make a payment by this date, you will be charged a late fee. Your promotion may also be discontinued, and your service interrupted or disconnected.
